We value positive relationships with parents and carers to help develop better social and emotional skills in children. We know that when children are engaged with their learning, they attend school more regularly, leading to better long term outcomes.
For parenting and counselling services, visit the Family Support page, and for direction and clarity on regulations, processes and procedures at our school, read the Sydney Catholic School policies.
We value a collaborative partnership between parents, staff and students and welcome parent involvement in our school and community.
Communication
St Francis of Assisi Regional Catholic Primary School Paddington strives to be an open and transparent school community. The purpose of all communication is to inform and build knowledge and understanding, and should be delivered and received respectfully, acknowledging the dignity of all people.
We value the importance of working in partnership with our parents and engage in a range of communication strategies. We communicate via the Compass app, emails, parent information sessions, assemblies, newsletters, the school Facebook page, our termly learning expos and open classrooms. Twice a year we invite parents to participate in parent/teacher meetings to discuss their child’s educational progress and wellbeing.
Parents and Friends Association (P&F)
St Francis of Assisi has a very proactive and successful parent body. The P&F Association meets each term to plan and support multiple social and fundraising events for our school. All parents are invited to attend meetings and join a committee.
Regional School Advisory Council
The Regional School Advisory Council advises the principal of St Francis of Assisi on school programs and initiatives and takes responsibility for enrolments and finance. Parents are invited to join the council by the school principal.
